Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services of Sarjet Shipping Express (“the Company”), the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services Provided

Sarjet Shipping Express provides:

  • International shipping (air & sea freight)

  • Package forwarding

  • Local courier delivery within Jamaica

  • Customs clearance assistance (where applicable)

3. Prohibited & Restricted Items

The Company will NOT transport:

  • Illegal drugs or narcotics

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives

  • Hazardous or flammable materials

  • Perishable goods (unless agreed in writing)

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Any item prohibited under Jamaican law or destination country laws

The customer is fully responsible for ensuring items are legal and compliant.

If prohibited goods are discovered:

  • Shipment will be seized

  • Authorities may be notified

  • No refunds will be issued

4. Customs & Duties (International Shipping)

  • All customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and government charges are the responsibility of the customer.

  • The Company is not responsible for delays caused by customs.

  • Customers must provide accurate invoices and descriptions of goods.

5. Payment Terms

  • All shipping and courier fees must be paid in full before delivery.

  • Storage fees may apply for packages not collected within ___ days.

  • The Company reserves the right to hold packages until outstanding balances are cleared.

6. Delivery Timeframes

  • Delivery timelines are estimates only.

  • The Company is not liable for delays caused by:

    • Customs inspections

    • Weather conditions

    • Airline or shipping carrier delays

    • Acts of God

    • Government regulations

7. Loss or Damage

  • Claims for lost or damaged items must be made within __7_ days of delivery.

  • Liability is limited to:

    • The declared value of the item OR

    • A maximum of JMD $__15000___ (or USD $___100__), whichever is lower.

The Company is NOT liable for:

  • Poor packaging by the sender

  • Fragile items not declared

  • Indirect or consequential losses

Optional insurance should be offered for high-value shipments.

8. Packaging Responsibility

Customers must ensure items are properly packaged.
The Company reserves the right to refuse poorly packaged items.

9. Storage Policy

  • Packages not collected within ___ days may incur storage fees.

  • Packages left unclaimed for ___ days may be auctioned or disposed of.

10. Right of Inspection

Sarjet Shipping Express reserves the right to open and inspect any package for security, safety, and customs compliance.

11. Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping and delivery addresses.
The Company is not responsible for delays or losses due to incorrect addresses.

12. Refund Policy

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable once shipment has left our facility.

  • Refunds will not be issued for delays outside of our control.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of profits

  • Business interruption

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Jamaica.

15. Amendments

Sarjet Shipping Express reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
